job summary:
Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for their 52 MW biomass-fueled renewable energy plant in New Bern, NC. This role requires a High School Diploma and at least 4 years of power plant operations experience to maintain critical electrical systems and instrumentation. You will ensure the reliable production of carbon-neutral energy by managing high-voltage equipment and complex control systems.

responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair plant electrical systems and equipment, including motors, switchgear, and wiring

• Calibrate and repair emission monitoring equipment and controllers, while maintaining and programming plant Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).

• Read and interpret complex electrical, electronic, and logic diagrams to perform preventative maintenance and routine vibration monitoring on rotating equipment.

• Assist operations during plant upsets or trips and maintain meticulous records of all control and electrical system modifications and temporary jumpers.

• Ensure a safe work environment through rigorous job planning, adherence to safety rules
