Position Overview

Abacus Staffing is hiring Weekend Warehouse Associates / Forklift Operators to support operations for a leading global technology customer. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in warehouse operations, including training on material handling equipment (MHE) such as a wave planner (mini cherry picker) .

This role is primarily focused on order picking and inventory handling , requiring strong attention to detail and comfort working with small parts, bins, and multiple pick locations.

Schedule Options

• Weekend Shift (Primary Need):
  • Saturday & Sunday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Option to work Monday & Tuesday for additional hours
• Additional Shifts Available (as volume increases):
  • Monday – Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Monday – Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

Note: Heavier volume typically occurs Monday & Tuesday. Increased 2nd shift opportunities expected.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders accurately using RF scanners and warehouse systems
• Work with small parts, bins, and multiple pick locations
• Maintain strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy
• Utilize computers/laptops for inventory and order tracking
• Assist with inventory control and stock organization
• Operate or train on material handling equipment (MHE), including wave planners
• Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols

Qualifications

• Prior warehouse or inventory experience preferred
  • (Grocery, stocking, or retail experience is a plus)
• Comfortable working with computers and basic systems
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Willingness to learn and be trained on forklift/MHE equipment
• Reliable and able to work scheduled shifts

Training & Growth

• No prior forklift experience required but preferred— training provided
• Opportunity for expanded hours and skill development
• Potential assignment duration: 8–12 weeks (May–June) with possible extension

Work Environment & Requirements

• Warehouse environment with moderate to high activity levels
• Must wear required PPE at all times:
  • Safety shoes ( required prior to start )
  • Safety vest (provided)
  • Safety knife (provided)
