Job Description

We are partnering with a local company in the Shelton area to hire a staff accountant who will support the day-to-day accoutning operations and work closely with the controller.  This a a great opportunity for you to gain exposure accross accounting functions and learn from a hands-on finance leader.  We are seeking someone with 3+ experience as an accountant. You will have sound ERP and Excel skills and have strong multitasking abilities and communication skills.  

salary: $33 - $38 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8:30 AM - 5 PM
education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

Managing Daily Transactions: Daily accounting functions including recording journal entries, tracking G/L activity, A/P, A/R. 

Assisting with Month-End Close : Reconciling bank statements, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy of financial data.

Supporting Financial Reporting:  Preparing initial financial statements, variance analysis, and supporting schedules assisting management with monthly and annual reporting
