Summary

The Emerson School for Preschoolers is looking for an individual to join our team of dedicated staff. We are looking for an energetic, self-directed and dependable person to do after school or before school cleaning. The responsibilities include the regular cleaning and sanitizing of the three classrooms, four bathrooms, hallway, lobby and office. Prior cleaning experience is preferred. Excellent references are a must. The job is for the school calendar year, with vacations and weekends off. The hours are approximately two hours each day with flexibility between the hours of 2:00PM and 6:00PM or from 5:00AM to 7:00AM. We are located within walking distance of the Concord High School, in the Unitarian Universalist Church building, right past the hospital.
Rate of pay: $17/hr

Duties

• Follow daily and weekly cleaning and sanitation plans.
• Clean and re-supply restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order.

Requirements

Physical activities are required, such as but not limited to reaching, bending, stooping, twisting and lifting up to approximately 50 pounds, and occasional lifting of equipment weighing up to approximately 20 pounds may be required.
