Job Summary:

The Public Safety Gate Attendant serves as the first point of contact for guests entering Beaver Creek Resort. This role is primarily focused on delivering exceptional guest service while providing access control, dispatch support, and basic security coordination. The Gate Attendant ensures resort regulations are followed, supports public safety operations, and communicates effectively with internal teams to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $21.00/hr - $24.19/hr 
  • Employment Type: Year Round
  • Shift Type: Full Time and Part Time hours available 
    • Two overnight positions open, one 8p to 6a Thursday to Sunday and the other, Tuesday to Friday, same hours 
  • Minimum Age: At least 18 years of age
  • Housing Availability: No

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome all guests in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner.
  • Issue appropriate vehicle access passes and verify credentials as required
  • Enforce Beaver Creek Resort access policies and regulations
  • Answer multiple phone lines and respond to guest service requests
  • Perform dispatch duties for guest service, security, and safety-related calls
  • Dispatch patrol units for alarms, unlocks, emergencies, and service requests
  • Monitor and communicate on multiple radio channels, accurately logging all activity
  • Coordinate closely with parking attendants and village operations regarding vehicle access
  • Maintain situational awareness and handle emergencies calmly and efficiently
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support Public Safety operations

 

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of guest service experience
  • Knowledge of Beaver Creek Resort and surrounding areas (training provided)
  • Experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques

 

The expected pay range is $21.00/hr - $24.19/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
