Job Description

As a Process Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer orders are efficiently filled and dispatched. This position involves a variety of tasks within the warehouse, including handling orders, operating machinery, and maintaining cleanliness. You will primarily be focusing on material handling and order fulfillment. Over time, you may have opportunities to cross-train production tasks, though this is not the primary focus of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Fill orders by directing and filling totes or drums as instructed by the shift manager.
  • Stage completed orders at the dock and load trucks upon their arrival.
  • Clean hoses, drums, and the warehouse to maintain a tidy work environment.
  • Utilize electronic pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts to move finished products and accurately stage them for shipping.
  • Complete and maintain accurate paperwork, including process conditions, test results, instrument readings, and shipping documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months experience operating a sit-down forklift or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment or in a labor-intensive role.
  • Strong attention to detail and customer focus to ensure correct labeling and item selection.
  • Ability to receive and act on direct feedback regarding work performance and processes.
  • Readiness to wear steel-toed shoes and adjust facial hair to fit safety equipment as needed.

Work Environment

The work environment offers three shift options: 1st shift (4am-12pm), mid shift (8am-4pm), and 2nd shift (12pm-8pm or until trucks are finished). Employees typically do not work weekends but may choose to work additional hours to assist with backlog. Safety is paramount, with personal protective equipment such as bump caps, safety glasses, gloves, and respirators being mandatory in certain areas. The warehouse is temperature controlled, but it can still be warm in the summer,

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Camby, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
