Job Description

We are hiring a Parts Supervisor to support airport maintenance operations at LAX. This is not a traditional warehouse supervisor role.

The ideal candidate has direct experience supporting mechanical maintenance teams , preferably with passenger boarding bridges (PBB), airport ground support equipment, conveyors, industrial maintenance, or similar electromechanical systems .

You will lead daily parts room operations, supervise inventory staff, coordinate purchasing and receiving, and ensure technicians have the right materials available to support repairs and preventative maintenance with minimal downtime.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a high-urgency airport operations environment , requiring strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical understanding, and the ability to support critical maintenance operations.

To be considered, candidates should have experience in at least one of the following environments :

• Passenger boarding bridges (PBB)
• Airport ground support equipment
• Baggage conveyor or material handling systems
• Industrial plant maintenance
• Heavy equipment or fleet maintenance parts operations
• Facilities maintenance parts support

Candidates with only general warehouse, shipping/receiving, retail inventory, or distribution center experience will not be a fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily parts room, purchasing, and inventory operations
• Lead parts clerks, inventory staff, and support personnel
• Coordinate material flow for maintenance and preventative repair work
• Troubleshoot urgent part shortages and incorrect shipments
• Maintain CMMS and inventory accuracy
• Manage vendor communication, purchasing, and order follow-up
• Analyze usage trends and support downtime reduction efforts
• Ensure compliance with airport safety and PPE requirements
• Support maintenance leadership with KPI and parts availability reporting

Required Qualifications

• Direct passenger boarding bridge (PBB) experience strongly preferred
• 2+ years of experience in maintenance parts, purchasing, inventory control, or MRO support
• 1–3 years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience supporting technicians in a maintenance environment
• Experience using CMMS, maintenance tracking, or inventory systems
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to obtain airport security badge
• Available for weekends, holidays, and shift changes as needed

• Airport operations or airline maintenance support
• Ground support equipment parts operations
• Conveyor / baggage handling systems
• Heavy industrial or electromechanical maintenance
• Microsoft Excel reporting and KPI tracking
• Reading parts diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
