Licensed Journeyman Electrician

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Project: Large-Scale Data Center Construction

Overview

We are seeking Licensed Journeyman Electricians to join a long-term data center construction project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is a high-hours opportunity with consistent overtime, strong per diem, and the chance to work on a major, cutting-edge build.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $50.00/hour
• Schedule: 5 days per week, 12-hour shifts
• Hours: 60+ hours per week
• Overtime: Built-in weekly overtime
• Per Diem: $178/day

Key Responsibilities

• Install, bend, and run EMT and rigid conduit
• Pull wire and complete terminations
• Install lighting systems, panels, switchgear, and cable
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
• Perform troubleshooting and electrical repairs
• Work with low- and medium-voltage systems
• Support large-scale commercial/industrial construction projects

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level experience in commercial or industrial electrical work
• Strong skills in:
  • Conduit bending (EMT & rigid)
  • Terminations and panel work
  • Lighting and electrical systems installation
  • Blueprint and schematic reading
  • Troubleshooting electrical systems
• Experience on large-scale projects (data center experience preferred)

Licensing Requirements

Must hold a valid Journeyman Electrician License from a state with Iowa reciprocity, including:

AK, AR, CO, MN, MT, NE, NH, ND, OK, SD, TX, WI, WY

This is a Contract position based out of Fairfax, IA.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
