Job Description
Job Opportunity: Environmental Litigation Attorney (Mid-Level)
Location: Pittsburgh, PA | Work Model: Hybrid
On behalf of a highly respected law firm in Pittsburgh, I am seeking a driven Environmental Litigation Associate (3-5 years) to join a premier practice group. This isn't a role where you'll be hidden in a basement reviewing documents; this is a hands-on opportunity designed for an attorney ready to take the next step in their career with direct client contact and high-impact case management.
The Role
You will be integral to a collaborative team handling sophisticated environmental disputes. From inception to resolution, you will own your work product and play a key role in the firm's most complex matters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Case Leadership: Manage litigation lifecycles, from initial pleadings through discovery and resolution.
* Advocacy: Draft high-level motions, briefs, and research memoranda; argue motions in court.
* Discovery & Evidence: Manage all phases of discovery (including e-discovery), take and defend depositions, and collaborate closely with technical experts.
* Strategy: Conduct deep legal/factual research and assist with hearings, trials, and strategic business development.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a "self-starter" who thrives when handling technical materials and complex legal puzzles.
* Experience: 3-5 years of commercial or environmental litigation experience.
* Technical Skills: Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
* Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple moving parts independently.
* Credentials: Must hold an active Pennsylvania law license in good standing.
Why This Firm?
* Sophisticated Practice: Work on high-stakes environmental matters that have a tangible impact.
* Hybrid Flexibility: Balance your professional and personal life with a modern hybrid schedule.
* Culture: Join a team that values collaboration over internal competition.
* Compensation: Competitive salary structure and benefits package tailored to your level of experience.
*Confidential application process*
