Full-time positions available with the Aviation Department, Facilities Structural Division, located at 947 Mexico City.
Salary Range: $20.10-$30.64/hour
Normal Work Days/Hours: Shifts based on operational needs (Mandatory Overtime May be Required during snow events and emergencies).

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists facility technicians with performing basic tasks in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment, plumbing and general maintenance of facilities.
• Assists facility technicians with monitoring boilers and HVAC equipment.
• Maintains and operates snow removal equipment, forklifts, man lifts and loaders.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Important Information:

• Must Pass 10-year TSA Background Check.
• Must obtain MO Class A or B CDL prior to end of probationary period.

Qualifications

REQUIRES completion of a trade school or a shop training program; OR 6 months experience in general maintenance and repair work. May be required to obtain a valid MO Class A,B, or C CDL prior to the end of the probationary period as determined by the department. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City. Must posses a valid State-issued driver's license in accordance with the City of KCMO policies.

Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.

The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.

For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.

Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
